About

Sarah Squires is a soprano from Humble, TX. She is a third-year undergraduate student pursuing a B.M. in Vocal Performance at Texas Christian University and studying under Dr. James Rodriguez. She is passionate about the arts and is a nationally recognized performer; she has been named a semi-finalist (top 15) for the NATS National Student Auditions in 2025 and 2024 and has placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at the Texoma NATS auditions. She has many roles in her repertoire, from opera to musical theatre to straight plays. Her recent notable roles include Monica in Menotti's The Medium, Johanna in Sondheim's Sweeney Todd, Gasparina in Haydn's La Canterina, and Barbarina in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro with Music On Site. Furthermore, she has an upcoming role in Harrower Summer Opera's 2026 season as Franca Naccarelli in Guettel's The Light in the Piazza, and she will also be covering Clara Johnson. She will also be playing Logainne in Finn's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with TCU Opera Spring 2026. Additionally, she is a TCU Music Ambassador and a performer with TCU Opera and TCU Concert Chorale. She has previously performed with TCU Vocal Jazz (Purple, White, and Blues) and TCU University Singers. She works as the song leader and soloist at The Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist in Arlington, TX.
